First KCBS BBQ Judge Class in Osaka

On October 18, 2026, KCBS held its first Certified Barbeque Judge (CBJ) class in the Kansai region at BBQ PRO SHOP Alfred in Toyonaka, Osaka.

Participants learned the KCBS judging rules and scoring procedures and evaluated chicken, pork ribs, pork and brisket for appearance, taste and tenderness.

The class also served as training for judges preparing for the KCBS sanctioned Mid-Japan BBQ Showdown, which will be held in Seto City, Aichi, on November 29.
