Blueberry BBQ sauce

Recently, I decided to make bbq ribs and slow-cooked pulled pork with seasonal fruit sauces. Actually this was my third attemp to make blueberry BBQ sauce from scratch. I first tried to add blueberry jam to BBQ sauce to make a blueberry tasing BBQ sauce. Although the sauce tasted OK, it did not taste much like blueberry. The recipe is flexible on whether to use fresh or frozen blueberries. The flavor and amami of Tomato is too strong when I added blueberry Jam to a regular tomato based bbq sauce. On my third attempt I started with fresh and frozen blueberries which I purreed in a food processor then added sauces. I cooked it for 20 min following the recipe instructions. Overall the sauce turned out well and my dinner guests really liked it. I used this recipe but used maple syrup instead of molasses.
